Wireless Printing

Notice: Printing to Bridgewater State Printers will continue to use your printer quota. Visit the following page to see a list of available printers.

Windows 2000/XP/Vista

Please note that you will need to have administrative rights to the computer to set up an IPP printer.

  1. Open Internet Explorer (this will not work in other browsers).
  2. Connect to http://it.bridgew.edu/notebooks/printing.
  3. You will see a list of available printers. Find the one you want to print to and click on it.
  4. You will be asked if you want to install the printer. Click Yes.
  5. At this point, you will be prompted for a username and password. Provide your BSC username and password. Be sure to add bsc\ before your username.  For example: bsc\jsmith
  6. After the installation is done, you should be able to the Printers Control Panel and see that the printer is installed.
  7. You will now be able to print from your computer to that printer while on the BSC campus

Mac OS X

Follow the process below to map a printer through a Mac.

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Select Print & Fax.
  3. Select the + symbol as shown below to add a printer.

  5. In the window that appears, press the control key, while selecting any part of the window header. In the menu that appears, select Customize Toolbar...

  7. In the window that appears, click and drag the Advanced icon to the menu bar. Click Done when you are finished.

  9. Click the Advanced button. In the Type drop-down, select Windows. In URL you will need to enter the server name and queue you wish to print to. You also have the option to specify a name and location of the printer for your reference. For Print Using select Generic PostScript Printer. When finished, click Add. Your settings should look similar to the image below.

  11. Once your printer is added you can close the Print & Fax window.
  12. When printing, you will be prompted for your BSC username and password. Be sure to place a bsc\ before your username as shown below.
