Creating Assignments and Adding Resources

Within Moodle you have the ability to assignments and other resources such as discussion forums, quizzes, wikis and more.

1. Click the Turn Editing On button

   

2. In a weekly or topical block in the center column, choose Upload a single file under Assignments from the Add an Activity drop-down menu. This will allow your students to send you one document through Moodle to complete an assignment that will also show up in the gradebook.
3. Or, choose Forum from the Add an Activity drop-down menu. This will create a discussion forum so that your students may engage in online communications with you and each other.
4. Or, choose Quiz from the Add an Activity drop-down menu. This will allow you to begin adding questions to a pool so that you may begin to build self-grading online quizzes.
5. Or, choose Wiki from the Add an Activity drop-down menu. This will create a wiki so that your students may begin to add HTML pages and engage with them simultaneously in a group work setting.
