Opening Citrix Applications with Internet Explorer from Off-Campus

  1. Launch your Internet Explorer browser and proceed to the following address: https://citrix.bridgew.edu
  2. Type your BSC username and password in the Username and Password fields
  3. Click the Login button. You are now logged into Citrix
  4. Follow the instructions below if you are prompted to install the Citrix ICA Client. If you are not prompted continue on to step 5

    1. If a Citrix ICA Client is not installed on the computer you will receive the following message: You do not have the MetaFrame Presentation Server Client (ActiveX) for 32-bit Windows installed on your system. You must install the client to launch applications

    2. Click the MetaFrame Presentation Server Client for 32-bit Windows link
    3. A File Download window will appear. Click the Save button

    4. Once the installer has been downloaded, navigate to the download location and double-click the installer's icon.
    5. An Open File - Security Warning window will appear. Click the Run button

    6. A MetaFrame Presnetation Server Web Client for Win32 window will appear. Click the Yes button

    7. The Citrix License Agreement window will appear. Click the Yes button

    8. The installation is complete. Click the OK button
    9. Close your browser
    10. Go back to step 1 of this document and proceed

  5. Select the application you would like to open by clicking its icon
  6. If you are using a Citrix application on a particular computer for the first time a window named Client File Security will appear. Under the question What access should be allowed? click the Full Access radio button. Under the question Do you want to be asked again? click the Never ask me again radio button. This allows you to save files modified by a Citrix application to folders on your computer's local drives

  7. To save to your hard drive, look for the C$ (or D$ for some computers) drive listing from the drop-down Save in: menu
