Generic Mobile Wireless Device Instructions

 

To access the Bridgewater State College wireless network from your mobile wireless device, your device must support 802.1x and be certified by the WiFi Alliance as a compliant device.

These generic instructions are supplied as an example to allow the BSC Community access to the wireless network.

NOTE: You will need your BSC username and password in order to complete the steps below. If you have not yet claimed your account, you can do so by visiting the account registration page at https://www.bridgew.edu/services/claimaccount.

In the properties of your network connection for your device you will find many settings for the connection.

The wireless SSID "BSCUnplugged" (Case sensitive) should be set to use the following:
 

Network Authentication: WPA

Data Encryption: TKIP

Or

Network Authentication: WPA2

Data Encryption: AES

EAP Type: Protected EAP (PEAP)

The authentication method is "Secured Password (EAP-MSCHAP v2)"

If you are unable to get onto the wireless network with the instructions above please contact the original equipment manufacturer for configuration assistance.
