Improve Infrastructure Performance

• Replaced the Sophos Pure Message SMTP Gateway design with Proofpoint.
• Implemented Multi-cast capability throughout the network.
• Implemented Quality of Service (Qos) on the network.
• Implemented new management station (Cisco Works Server)
• Upgraded the College telephone system to prepare for the new residence halls

Expanded Infrastructure Services

• Expanded the Citrix environment for use in the labs and classrooms.
• Expanded the use of the wireless network by creating separate virtual lans incorporating SSID's, as well as improving guest access.
• Connect town merchants to the wireless network to support the One Card system

Improve Infrastructure Security

• Upgraded Clean Access Server for Wireless and ResHall users
• Installation of a new IDS/IDP implementation at Edge (firewall) along with a Sensor Installation on Boyden Server Network
• Increase population of the DMZ with external servers and services
• Installation of the new RSA Token authentication for use with the SSL/VPN.
• Implement port security, and implement Cisco clean Access on lab data ports.
• Hired a security expert.

Improve Infrastructure Reliability

• Expanded the utilization of Virtual Server Technology including "VMotion" software
• Upgraded the Connect Card and Vending Networks.

Policy

• Instituted a policy for remote access of the BSC Network.  Policy will include regulations and standards for remote computers.
