Burnell School Room 105 PROJECTOR CONTROL ON/OFF: Press this button to turn projector on or off. (Please allow 60 seconds for projector to warm up and cool down. The status buttons will flash during this time.) The control system will automatically mute the audio when the ON button is pressed. PIC MUTE: Dims the light on the projector. The indicator will flash when selected. Press the button again to restore the projector image. AUTO IMAGE: Pressing the button optimizes the video display for the computer sources. VOLUME CONTROL ROOM VOLUME may be adjusted by turning the knob on the control panel. Five lights will indicate the relative volume level. A single (flashing) green light indicates that volume is muted. The top (red) light indicates maximum volume. CLOSED CAPTIONING may be turned on by pushing the CC button on the control panel (the green indicator lights when captioning is active). Pushing the button a second time turns off the captioning function (light will go out). SOURCE SELECTION DVD and VCR: Selects the desired portion of the combination player (located in the equipment rack below the control panel). Manually turn DVD/VCR on/off. Additional controls are located next to the Extron main control panel (the DVD or VCR light will be lit when this source is selected). Satellite and campus cable TV channels can also be received while using the VCR source. DOCUMENT CAMERA (Doc Cam): The document camera is located on the top of the lectern. Manually turn document camera on/off. The camera is capable of displaying notes, transparencies as well as 3D objects. Zoom controls are located on the top of the camera unit. Power and light controls are also located on the base of the camera. To raise or fold the camera, use the green ring on the camera post. COMPUTER: The computer is located in the equipment rack below the control panel. Manually turn on the computer on/off. The keyboard and mouse are located in the pull-out tray to the left of the control panel. For your convenience, USB ports are located on the left side of the monitor. If the network is not working log onto the computer: user name: media pc password: Media1pc ! domain should be this computer. LAPTOP: Connections are located inside the black cubby on the desktop (center, toward the front). An electrical outlet, network (LAN) cable, VGA video and stereo audio cables are available. If no image appears on the screen; press the LCD/CRT key on your laptop. For a DELL laptop hold down the fn key and press F8 key. For a GATEWAY laptop hold down the fn key and press F3 key. For technology problems during class use the TECH HELP button on the classroom telephone.
