The Extron control panel for this station is located on the top of the desktop surface.

Projector Control

  • ON/OFF: Press this button to turn projector on or off. (Please allow 60 seconds for projector to warm up and cool down. The status buttons will flash during this time.) The control system will automatically mute the audio when the “ON” button is pressed.
  • PIC MUTE: Dims the light on the projector. The indicator will flash when selected. Press the button again to restore the projector image.
  • AUTO IMAGE: Pressing the button optimizes the video display for the computer sources.

Desktop Computer

  • The PC is located in the equipment rack below. Manually turn on/off the computer.
  • Log onto the computer with your BSC credentials.
  • USB ports are located on the left side of the monitor.
  • Press PC button on the Extron panel. If no image appears press the black smart cart button labeled desktop.
  • If the network is not working log onto the computer: user name: mediapc password: Media1pc! domain should be this computer.

Laptop Computer

  • Connections are located inside the black cubby on the desktop. Plug in the needed cables. Network (LAN) cable, VGA video and stereo audio cables are available.
  • Press laptop button on the Extron panel and press the black smart cart button labeled laptop. If no image appears on the screen; press the LCD/CRT key on your laptop while holding down the FN button until the image appears on local screen and large screen.
  • The network is not working log onto the computer with: user name: media pc password: Media1pc! / this computer.

DVD/VCR

  • Select the desired portion of the combination player (located in the equipment rack below).
  • Manually turn DVD/VCR on/off.
  • Additional controls are located next to the Extron main control panel (the DVD or VCR light will be lit when this source is selected).

Optional DVD Play Back

  • Place dvd in computer’s CD/DVD ROM drive software should automatically open. Note: If it does not open double click icon “DVD Player” or go into the program files to open it up.
  • CLOSED CAPTIONING may be turned on by pushing the “CC” button on the control panel (the green indicator lights when captioning is active). Pushing the button a second time turns off the captioning function (light will go out).

Document Camera

  • The document camera is located on the top of the lectern.
  • To raise or fold the camera, use the green ring on the camera post.
  • Press the doc camera button on the Extron unit. If no image appears manually turn document camera on/off and press the black smart cart button labeled doc cam.
  • The camera is capable of displaying notes, transparencies as well as 3D objects.
  • Zoom controls are located on the top of the camera unit.

Audio Control

  • Audio from sources may be adjusted by turning the large black knob on the Smart Cart. Do not use the Extron volume knob.
