Mug Shots to Be Taken On Campus

Have a mug shot taken or mug with your our favorite cartoon characters in their spyWEAR at the Be Security Conscious Expo II held Thursday, October 26 th from 10 am – 2 pm in the Moakley Center. Fun and creative backdrops are just part of the activities as BSC observes cyber awareness month. Pictures will be posted at http://it.bridgew.edu/security/ a week after the event. The site will also feature useful tips, instructions and links to help keep you cyber savvy on campus and at home.

The special event is open to all of the campus community. You are reminded to bring your connect card. By swiping your card at the main desk you will become eligible for one of our more than 100 prizes. If you come dressed as your favorite spy (this year’s theme is spyWEAR) you may also be selected for a prize for the best/most creative outfit.

This year, McADOC is hosting our SPACE BAR CAFÉ, and will be serving mocktails, “shaken, not stirred.” Additional refreshments will also be given out.

The message is clear; we all have a role in protecting ourselves and family from cyber attackers. Even the young and innocent are vulnerable. Be Security Conscious will feature experts to address issues from “putting yourself at risk by yourself on the internet” to “the dangers facing the young including the growing problem of cyber-bullying”. A special Q & A session with our panel of experts will begin at approximately 1:45 pm. It staffers will also be available to answer questions throughout the day (10 am – 2 pm).
