Suspicious Behavior

Suspicious Behavior

Every person must do their part to keep the work environment secure.

Report any suspicious behavior to a department head, network administrator, or campus police as soon as possible.

Please also report any suspicious behavior to the BSC computer security team via e-mail at Security@bridgew.edu

What could be considered suspicious behavior?

Use your own judgment and listen to any "gut" feelings you have. Is someone accessing a computer they shouldn't have access to? Is someone asking questions that they shouldn't be? It is better to be safe than sorry, report the activity immediately.

Other examples of suspicious activity are:

  • A person is accessing files you know that person does not own or have any reason to be accessing.
  • An individual using another person's computer without permission
  • Someone is accessing the network using another's account

Each individual needs to take an active role to help keep the college network, and the information stored within, secure.
