Webhost is the name of the server used to host personal web pages for BSU Faculty, Staff, and Students. Every person with a BSU User Account is assigned a folder on this server which can contain up to 40 megabytes of data.
Aside from hosting personal web pages, Faculty, Staff, and Students can also use Webhost as a storage place for small files such as Word documents or PowerPoint presentations. Just remember that any file placed on Webhost is immediately accessible to everyone on the Internet. If your data needs to remain confidential, then you should store your data in the Private folder that is located within your Webhost folder. Access to data stored in a Private folder is restricted to the owner of that Webhost folder. You also have access to a private network folder called the Home Drive, as well as your Department G: drive. To learn more about saving documents to the BSU network, click here.
