Schedule of Pilot - Sep 22, 2009 Update

The piloting of this portal has been extended until May 2010. After the piloting process has concluded, IT will determine, based on student and community feedback, if this tool is the right fit for BSC.

Feedback

Your feedback is critical. Please share your thoughts with us, we will compile all feedback received. Email feedback to webteam@bridgew.edu

Limitations to Note:

Beta mode - the portal tool is currently in beta mode; this means it is not a finished product ready for true commercial deployment. Users may find some things not working properly. We will be monitoring this tool, but please feel free to share any bugs or errors with us.

Content sample - the content found in the portal is a sample of what is potentially possible. Since this is a pilot, IT did not want to overly-invest in customizing content. Additional customization of content (and distributed administration) would be anticipated if we elect to go forward with a portal tool.

Security warning messages - As students navigate the site, we are aware of the security alerts users experience. This is a known issue triggered by receiving content from off-domain sites (such as news feeds etc.) We are working with our vendor to alleviate this issue. (Added 10/5/09)

Design limitations - this tool currently has limited design options.

Student-only tool - currently, we are piloting and targeting this tool for students only.
