College Information Systems

Our Role

College Information Systems (CIS) supports core business information systems as well as institutional web-based communication. These systems include student information system, financial records system, human resource system, alumni/development, campus commerce, and other systems. An integrated and secure approach is central to these information systems. College Information Systems is comprised of two teams which collectively provide a full range of support for these systems as well as provide communications support to the institution.

Our Organization

Administrative Systems provides support for mission-critical business systems, such as Banner, Web Prospects, Web Admissions, Resource 25, Adirondack and Raiser’s Edge. In addition, the team partners with other campus departments (e.g. Registrar, Fiscal Affairs, Human Resources) to provide training and documentation on how to use these business systems. Members of the Administrative Systems team provide analysis, design, and system selection for campus business-related systems.

Web Development maintains top-level content, tools, and infrastructure for the college's main web site (www.bridgew.edu). Full-time web developers create custom web-based applications to support BSC initiatives. Part-time student workers respond to webteam email requests, publish updated web pages and provide general support.
